Thanks for the good deal OP. Have stayed at the Kierland (resort, not the villas) before -- it's nice & there's lots to do close by (right in Scottsdale, shopping within walking distance, golf on the resort premises, etc). If you're interested in this deal, I'd also look into the JW Marriott @ Desert Ridge, which is a little bit further north though a bit nicer IMHO; there are similar teaser deals available periodically for their villas as well.

I lived in a neighborhood literally right across the street from this golf course and I respectfully disagree that there is lots to do close by, unless shopping is the main reason you vacation. You'll need a car. Also with all due respect it's a bit pointless to mention a nicer hotel because there are any number of nicer hotels in the area (even of the JW Marriotts IMO the Camelback Inn is nicer than Desert Ridge), but none of those hotels are <$100/night.
