I've been to Vegas, and I'm aware of the 1/2 price tix and tixtonight booths that are around the strip area. I'm staying at the Bellagio, and I'm aware of the discount I get to watch 'O'.
What I'm looking for are deals that can be had now, online in advance of my arrival in December. Two trips ago(last year), there were 50% of show tickets available with advanced booking. I was able to see Ka and Spamalot for a discount. I figured with Vegas hurting like they are (we got cheap rooms at Bellagio) that we'd also be able to find discounts on shows.
Most of the links that I find on Google are either, 1.) Just gathering link through money, but not offering any 'deals', 2.) Old as dirt and very expired and 3.) whatever else.
Can you advise if there are any deals and if so, which websites to find them?
Despite the economic gloom and doom in the news, the travel, tourism businesses have recovered. While not at the same levels when people would refinance their home to bankroll their vacation or monster SUV, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find such deals. For example, airlines and car rental companies cut back inventory to where fares are now up from 2 years ago. Hotel room are one of the few exceptions, where it is difficult to cut inventory, but rates, occupancy in most major US destinations are up over the same time last year.
In other words, be thankful for the deals we have all enjoyed over the past year or two in places like Vegas, do not expect them to continue.

Check out www.goldstar.com - you have to register an account, but there's a lot of random (read: not big name) shows on there - some have decent deals and good rates.
Some of the Marriott hotels in Las Vegas seem to have show packages with discounts for Jersey Boys and Phantom if you book a room - you can see these under packages when you get to the booking page on Marriott.com for the individual hotel.

Also, check out funjet Vacations website for the activities section - not sure about show tix, but they often have discounted activities for destination cities.
I second the vote that you monitor www.travelzoo.com. They seem to be quite good about listing Vegas show discounts for advance purchases. If the Cirque shows have a discount program, Travelzoo probably will have information.
Do read reviews before you go. Avoid the Chris Angel show at the Luxor - the absolute worst show I've ever seen on stage anywhere. Just check out the reviews on TripAdvisor if you want concurrence with this opinion.
Also, be aware that a number of shows go dark for a while in December so check those dates. Las Vegas Advisor (and their website) often has this information.
I don't know what show our friends are going to want to see. We've seen O, Ka, Blue Man Group and Spamalot. We're happy to watch any of those shows again or different show. It's really up to our friends who are Vegas virgins.

Don't get your heart set on Spamalot...
I can recommend Jersey Boys as a great Broadway-style show, or LOVE as an especially entertaining Cirque du Soleil.
I was just in Vegas and the discount booths seamed to have almost every show except O. They had all the other Cirque du Soleil shows even the Elvis one at City Center.
Bellagio has 25% off O shows, password is bellagio. 25% Group Offer

I'll be in Vegas from 11/5 to 11/12. I haven't found any promo codes for O or KA. The ones I found will all expire before November. Can anyone tell me when it's the best time to look for promos for those dates and the best place/site on the internet to find them?
Thanx a lot!!

Another question, if I may...
I always saw Criss Angel stunts on the internet and was looking forward to watching his show 'Believe' but I recently read some posts of people saying the show isn't that good, so I'm kinda backing out of it.
I'd really like to see a magic show while I'm there though. Can anyone advise me on wich one should I go to?

I would have recommended Lance Burton at the Monte Carlo, but his long run just ended. David Copperfield is playing dates in November and December, I think. If you want to see a more intimate show without all the big box stage illusions, Mac King's comedy magic show is fun and tickets can usually be had very cheaply.

Not at all. While his show is kid friendly, it is by no means a children's show. My wife and I found the show extremely entertaining. It's as much of a comedy show as a magic show, but Mac's magic skills are excellent. I thought it was one of the best bargains on the strip (discount tickets are readily available). Check out the reviews on yelp or tripadvisor and you'll see that this is a thoroughly enjoyable way to spend an afternoon.
By the way, for mapires, the magic in this show is nothing like Criss Angel's so it may not be what you are looking for if you are set on that type of illusion. Still a good show, and since it's a matinee, you could see one of the others later that evening.
To get back on topic, I just booked 4 tickets for KA using the Summer of Cirque link in Krugger's post for $50 each plus processing. Total was $250.00 and seats are in a good location.

I hope I can score those $50 tickets for KA in November.
As for the magic shows, thanks a lot for the advice! Iīll probably go to Copperfield, but that Mac King is also a nice option...
If anyone has any other Show hints for a couple going in november, Iīll be very thankfull.

You can use the link above for 25% off come November for O show tickets. At least I'm guessing that'll be the case as it's been resetting every month since July.

Try sites like Goldstar.com, Groupon.com, Livingsocial.com, and SkyAuction.com for discount on some shows, dining and other experiences.
I booked the blueman via smartervegas.com 40% discount last week for the last saturday show. ended up for $185 for 2 tix after all taxes and fees and got seated like at the 6th row from the front, just a couple behind the poncho section, which is better unless you enjoy getting covered in plastic for the whole show. the show itself is a ho-hum for my taste, though good educational tidbits in amusing setting.

I got 40% off of Lion King for Sat., Dec. 11th, with TRZ40 (expires 12/12/10).
Vegas4Locals.com has some printable coupons for some of the smaller shows, such as 2-4-1 tix for Matsuri, free tix for Nathan Burton Comedy Magic, etc., as well as posts some good deals via auctions on eBay (if you get lucky).
Tickets are already sold out for "O" on the 27th. Just wanted to let you know. There are still tickets for the 26th though. This is according to vegas.com. The 7:30 show on the 26th also has no more then single seats available. No seats together. If you really want to see it then you may have to just pay the price and go to the 10:00 show before that sells out.

What are you guys suggest about buying tickets for shows and Grand canyon? Is it before reaching Vegas or later getting some promo codes from hotels?

Thanks
By tickets to the Grand Canyon do you mean a bus tour or helicopter tour?
It's best to do your research online to find the cheapest prices for the helicopter tours. I highly recommend the helicopter tours if you value your time, it's a hell of drive to the Grand Canyon and back from LV.

I will really apprreciate if any body can pass me the coupon of 10%,20% discounts for Grand Canyon tours. It is OK if you have Helicopter or Bus tour coupons.
