So I bought an item from this seller this morning:

So what do you think? I contacted eBay by phone, gave them my ID, showed them the item I purchased and ask them to click on the seller, then on his Completed Listings. I said I had my doubts the seller had these items, but they can look for themselves and make their own conclusion. The seller is still listing items since I called.

You will never end all the fraud on eBay, or elsewhere.
I'd stay clear of listing that are "too good to be true". You will end up wasting a bunch of time chasing a refund for goods that do not arrive.

If you want to report items to eBay, you can do so w/o purchasing them.

No, I wasn't expecting to wipe out all fraud. I was just hoping eBay would react and at least stop the seller from listing new items. Hopefully they at least froze his Paypal account, but probably not.

Frankly, I could care less. After 2 weeks, I'll file an item not received, the seller will never respond and eBay will pay me back. I was just hoping something....

eBay suspended the seller. He sold 8 more iPhones after I called eBay an pocketed an extra $2500.

eBay does a pretty good job when you report listings to them. You don't need to actually buy the item to get eBay to pay attention.
