UPDATED, now 15% MS Cashbach takes $75 off.

Seriously, considering how much these things typically cost, this is a smoking deal. Green please.

1. Go to MS Cashbach (<- that's a link to it) and log in.
2. Use the search field for TigerDirect.
No results will be found.
3. Click on "Web".
4. TigerDirect 15% cashbach is displayed.
5. Click on it.
You are taken to TigerDirect page.
6. The netbook is just a little down the screen.

HP Mini-Note PC w/
Webcam & Bluetooth

7. The price is $499 with a $100 HP rebate.
8. Shipping is about $1.99

Math: 500 +2 (shipping) -75(15% cb) - 100 (rebate)= Very Merry Christmas= $327

This is the top of the line for the HP 2133 Mini-Note series, all metal chassis and cabinet, with express card interface, and Vista Business downgradeable to XP Pro. Did I mention it has bluetooth, webcam, and a 6-cell battery? Oh, and this has a 1280 x 768 display. Not 1024 x 600 like most netbooks.

Specs at HP.
Dang, $830 there?

And don't red the deal because it is from TigerDirect. They shipped it the same day I ordered. The rebate is from HP, the cashbach is from MS (I got mine in about 5 minutes) and the netbook is an HP with very good keyboard size and build quality.

Just read review on TD

This is a great looking netbook with great features and design. The main problem is the slow processor. With the release of the awesome MSI Wind with the Intel Atom 1.6 at $499 this laptop will need to be changed to an Atom too. Don't buy, buy the Wind instead.

I think it is a great deal for this particular laptop. I am a big fan of HP mini. But, although it may not be as attractive, but I rather settle for FatCash at 4%.

for performance, I would go with the celeron over atom in netbooks.

Atom is an very slow cpu (although the main purpose is lower power consumption)

Was there a way to get $20 off if you use PAYPAL for payment?

Sure, but relavent to this deal, this netbook has the VIA C7-M 1.6GHz ULV processor, which although has the same 1.6GHz speed as the atom, delivers half the performance. So this particular HP mini is gonna be slow...

That's why it has 1280x768. Intel won't let people build netbooks with atoms at screen resolutions higher than 1024x600, so this has the VIA processor, unfortunately.

LOL, I want to get my 74 year old father a notebook, but he can't see well. I bought him a 22 inch monitor and he has the text on largest setting for outlook express and he said "how do I make it bigger, I can't see." No chance of him using a 8.9 inch screen!

8.9 inch screen? I'd get Lenovo S10 or MSI Wind which has 10" screen instead of this.

The cheapest I see for this model (KX870AT) on eBay is $550 buy it now. You can get lesser models (512MB, 8GB SSD, etc) cheaper.

Here is a website that will answer some questions. http://www.hp2133guide.com

set the monitor to 800x600 for you grandpa it should be huge. seriously you could buy grandpa $50 HP machine with XP on it and it would walk circles around netbook (p4-2.4ghz). that would be cruel to give an elderly person such a compact computer

you should check out the crayola keyboard. it is bright n colorful and big keys. 2yr old loves it!

Try to buy more than one unit and see if you will be getting your MS CashBack. At least FatCash is more reliable than MS CashBack. Now, does that make any sense to you?
