These coupons are more worthless than Office Depot coupons. They had a similar coupon last week and when I tried to buy four different items the cashier kept pointing out vague things in the coupon restrictions to say that the coupon didn't apply. The same thing was going on at the register next to me. It is quite a scam. |

This type of jewelry is made of precious metals also - usually sterling silver. The gemstones used are semi-precious such as aquamarine, garnet, citrine, amethyst - the list goes on and on. Basically any gemstone that is not one of the ones listed under fine is considered to be semi-precious. Just a word here on the quality of gemstones. A poorly cut, bad specimen of Ruby can be worth much less than a excellent specimen of say, Topaz or Opal. So while ruby, emerald and sapphire are the three precious colored gemstones, joined by diamond, it does not always follow that jewelry set with these gemstones is 'fine'. Normally a jeweler will not waste the money to use karated gold to set an inferior precious gemstone but it does happen. Bridge jewelry is so named because it is the 'bridge' between fine jewelry and costume jewelry. |

Macy's has done this for years and use this coupon just to get people into their stores. |

thanks for pointing oput all the exclusions, i was planning to make a special trip to see what i could find and assumed i would be able to use the coupon for pretty much everything, like the % off coupons, now i will not bother and wait for the 20% or at least 15%. |
I wish these stores would just put what things it can be used for in the fine print. They would save a ton of ink since the list would be shorter!!!!!! |

Macy's 10 off coupon sucks, and has for a few years now. Everything is excluded, well most. Thanks for the heads up on the F&F if that goes on, I can return what I bought and get 20% off it, without exclusions. |
I also just bought something. Does Macys employees usually let you return something and buy it again immediately with coupon? |

you can get some deals with this coupon, but you have to be willing to really shop around for what is eligible |
Last weekend my coupon was rejected. I think Martha Stewart brand may be "designer linen." A second salesman pushed some button on the register to override the coupon exclusion code and it worked. Some of their salespeople are disgusted that the coupons don't work. I'm sure they get grief from customers when they can't use the coupons. |
