seems this is only useful for a handful for items including some tv's and games |

They've always done this, so long as you're there when the other ad is valid. I tried to take advantage of it for some DVD's one year (TV show sets), only to discover that they did not carry them. What are the odds that they will have the same exact model # of the other store's advertised TV's? |
So does it need to be "in stock" at the other store? If so it is not useful for the best deals since by the time they call all will be out of stock. |
Do this every year for DVD's and Video Games. Easy as pie, just make sure you have the competitor's ad. |
does anyone know if you can do price adjustments on black friday deals?? |
They do this every year. The only problem is that WalMart isn't going to carry every item that you might want from a competitor's store. |
Didn't know that. thanks! Might work for me for some wii games or something. I only wanted the blueray player from wally world anyway. |

The people that are sitting there waiting are more like the ones that rush the stages at concerts for GA seating. No thanks...I'll stay away from that pit of a place. |
The question I have is if they will price match Best Buy's Xbox 360 deal where you get NBA 2k9 and Tony Hawk for free w/ 360 purchase??? Anybody know? |
Just be aware that WalMart tends to have a lot of unique (i.e. WalMart specific) model numbers when it comes to electronics. It might be the exact same LCD TV that Best Buy is blowing out, but if the model number is different (like QX-5301 vs. QX-5301W, for example), they don't have to match the price. Sears does this as well, although more with appliances. |
Do this all the time for DVDs, games and toys. I tend to go in after 6am when the mass has already left... |

Sears does this as well, although more with appliances. You are exactly right. I had a huge fight with Home Depot over this. Got a HD gift card, but the same stove was $250 cheaper at Lowe's. Both were identical Maytags, just different suffixes on the end. |

Yes, they usually are crazy. More rural and smaller town Wal-Marts are generally ok. Now that I live 45 mins away from the city, the Wal-Mart here is actually pretty quiet and easy to find the items. |
Maybe they should add this to the trainig for our special forces.... Your mission: Infiltrate a Wal-Mart on black friday, secure 3 BF deals, checkout and exit without injury. |
Wallyworld gets exclusive cheapo electronics made for BF. Most big retailers will do the same. Appliances and mattresses are impossible to PM. Each retailer gets their own models, so you'll never be able to PM. HD and Lowes both will carry exclusive appliances models, however you can get the other model via online order. But when you add delivery fees, the price ends up being higher regardless... |
