OP, are you saying that I can purchase a gift card at a merchant for 5% and then purchase a plasma with it for another 5%? |
GiftCertificates.com universal certificate looks interesting. Buy the cert, get 3%. use it to purchase from another retailer with CashBack. In short you make 3% off the top. Can you buy other certificates from the retailer with it? and then use those certs to buy the item? |
We know that Cash Back & gift cards can be a bit confusing. It can be confusing for us as well at times! There are 3 basic scenarios we see in terms of merchants paying commission on gift cards/certificates (thus CB being available to you) With the gift-giving season upon us, we recognize that often the best gift for that hard-to-buy for person is a gift card/certificate so they can get what they want. The purpose of the list above is to share with you those Cash Back merchants that we know do indeed pay on the purchase of gift cards. Our experiences is that most merchants do not allow the purchase of a gift certificate with a gift certificate, so the GiftCertificates.com scenario most likely will not work. Always read the Cash Back Terms & Conditions listed for the merchant you are interested in. You will see things such as Cash Back available on purchase, not redemption, of gift cards. |

Would also be nice if this was integrated with retailers that are offering additional gift cards with the purchase of a given denomination of gift cards (e.g., buy $100 in gift cards and get a $25 bonus gift card). |
I have a few questions/comments here. at Barnes and Noble, when I get to the site, it has a banner that says "welcome FW shoppers." Clicking on this banner brings up the terms, where it says I can earn up to 6% CashBack, not the 8% FW has listed. Now, FW says B&N will not give CashBack on the redemption of GCs, but what if I go through live.com for the redemption and FW for the purchase? Live gives 12% still at B&N (even though it has the same exact banner, just saying "Welcome live.com shopper" instead of FW shopper, and gives the same terms (6%). |
