I don't think they hide the religious undertones at all. The book description says it in the first sentence. And the second, and the third -- well, pretty much the whole book synopsis is pretty clear what you're getting:

Laugh all you want now. Dial up should work fine. Depends on your definition of doomsday though. Watch for the cooperation of Russia with Iran plotting to destroy Israel, this is biblical prophecy in our time. Iran has said many times they will do it and nukes are now much more than talk.

But you won't have to leave America to see some things that are going to be very serious right here in the next few years. I believe people will be saying the Mayans were right after all the 2012 publicity. That answer should give you a good laugh. Youre welcome. Thanks OP for your find.
