if you already have a free prime offer like the student membership you have to chose between mom and student. they will not add mom to the end of student. you can still get the mom benefits just not the free prime

agreed, but since it's only 9/7, think I'll wait about 2-3 weeks so I can have it right through Xmas.

I just tried a "practice run" of trying to buy something cheap. First an SD card and then a movie both priced around $8 and both sold by Amazon that qualified for FSSS.

When I got to checkout page it DID NOT offer me free Prime shipping.

Something is not right.

Tried a "practice run" of my own for an item < $10 (not a baby item). Works fine for me on the checkout page.

If it fails to work for you, Amazon support may be able to fix the problem.

Maybe I can add this to another account in a few weeks to have free 2 day shipping until 12/24

Amazon is incredibly savvy. Prime itself already increases monthly spending, but now they've directly targeted students and moms: two groups known to be main spenders.

Did this deal just extend your existing Prime membership by 3 months? I am in the middle of a free Prime membership now, might be safest just to sign up under a new login?

Did this deal just extend your existing Prime membership by 3 months? I am in the middle of a free Prime membership now, might be safest just to sign up under a new login?
It does a prorated refund and switches you to the MOM plan.

My email to Amazon solved the problem. My CSR guy Rashesh in India apologized for the problem with their system and now I have the 3 months of Prime.

i am in a similar situation... they will not extend the membership for free you have to pay $79, so i asked my wife to register for Amazon mom
