I got a Tuscany Gas Grill for my boyfriend a couple weeks ago from Costco for $299. Yesterday, the same grill was reduced down to $199. I got the price adjustment from Costco. The managers seemed to be surprised about the huge price drop!!

The grill looks similar to the one that is listed on the website below; except, it does not have a side burner. It is a great grill: it looks good and is much steadier than many grills that I checked out from Home Depot, Target, Sears... It came in a huge box since the main parts of the BBQ have been assembled. It is very simple and does not take too much time to put the grill together. We BBQed several times and are very happy with it.

Costco at San Jose, CA (Senter, Almaden...) and San Mateo, CA still have several left when we checked yesterday.

From the majority of the reviews, I'd stay away from this one, but Costco does have a liberal return policy if you want to put up with the hassle.
Maybe it's just me, but it appears that the majority of BBQ grills made these days really suck in terms of quality. They look good, but fall apart quickly---if you're lucky, they might cook well.

You nailed. Most of the grill out there are crap and Weber is good but overpriced and Weber nickles and dimes you to death with their parts. Also Weber grills are featureless for the money. An infrared searing burner is a good option. Try finding that on a Weber for under $1200.

Take a good look at most of the big box store grills. They may have a shiny stainless steel hood, but the internals are enamel coated sheet metal. Sure to rust in a few years. Also, the flame tamers are almost always the same composition. They will be the first items to go.

If you don't want to spend the outrageous bucks Weber commands, look at Ducane. Weber owns them, they have the same warranty and customer support as Weber but they are made in China and are rock solid for the money.
Also, search CL as there are some great deals on good grills people are willing to let go for super cheap.
Parts are readily available now in HD and Lowes so rebuilding some of the basics is easy.

Lastly, it's grill clearance time in the big box stores. Keep your eyes open....But I would stay away from this one even at $199.

The big advantage of weber grills is that parts are readily available after many years since the basic design does not change. i have had mine for about 14 years and replaced the burners and flavor bars last year (A little over $100 in parts and its like new). I doubt you'll be able to find any parts for this grill after about 5 years down the road. At that point you need to toss it and get a new one.

Yes this is true i also have weber grill its nearly 10 year old but still its working. I also replace its parts and got it very easily

The problem with this line of reasoning is if this $200 grill lasts for 5 years vs the $1200 Weber's ($1300 if you count your burner and flavor bars) "half life point" the OP's deal is by far the better option IMO because they're still $1100 richer than you are. Even if they buy another $200 grill then, they'll still be $900 richer than you are. Another 5 years/another replacement? Still $700-$800 richer... 5 more? etc etc.

Buying a Weber grill is akin to stuffing money under your matress and calling it a good investment, IMO. One difference though-

IT'S JUST A SILLY GRILL, not an investment.

OP, what is the Costco item # please.

Thanks!
