Good price on the Seägäte 1.5TB, but the reviews of it are largely bad -- the old "click-of-death" problem. Still, could be a good deal if it fails and they have to replace it with a better one.

Yes, I had read the reviews and thought as you did about the 5yr warranty and a replacement being better. I couldn't pass it up at this price. Some reviews also say it is very loud. I guess I am taking my chances.

It's actually a somewhat common RPM for these and higher capacities
I went to pickup one at my local OD earlier today and while it was being brought to the front someone else said they were the ones getting the drive and bought it. I found out about this jerk after I went back to the salesman asking where the drive was at because I was still waiting for it. Red to the jerk that took my drive, green to the OP.
Stopped by Buena Park, CA store, there were 2 for 45.01 today. Didn't pick one up cuz I didn't have the 10$ off (good for tech, on website banner) coupon. Went home, printed it out, and came back and scored one for 38.07 after tax. I'm a nice guy, so there's one left. Coupon's good til the 25th.
