power source AA kills it for me. my old digital camera uses AA x 4 and it couldn't take more than 14 shots. I had to carry a butt load of batteries on my trip. Learn my lesson, staying away from digital camera with AA power source.

I use the 2500 rechargeables in my camera and normally shoot hundreds of pictures before I have to recharge. I like the AA powered camera because I don't have to pay much to replace the special batteries.
My son and I have the E30 and M20. Neither can get many pics (no flash) on a set of 2 freshly charged 2000 NiMH rechargeable batts (mine would often turn off as soon as I turned it on). I sent mine back, they checked that all settings were to spec and it came back the same way. I complained, and they sent me 4 Energizer Lithium AA's, which seem to run forever.
EDIT: other than the battery issue, we're happy with the cameras.
