I really doubt that. You think all these FWers shying away from refurbs are snobby people?
In general, you get a 15" screen, AND it's refurb, AND you have to pay S&H? Maybe if it was $9.99+S&H.
There's a reason these are OOS 99% of the time - they are an amazing deal ! I've also purchased the HL-2140 Brand New - and there is simply no difference at all.
Yes, I do think that anyone who shys away from Refurbished Products is either awash with excess Cash, or is simply a Chump.
Yeah, only chimp's don't buy refurbs. Btw for the earlier poster, I highly doubt they pass new retail stock off as refurb unless the item didn't meet their QA standards coming off the line or unless it's a return from store stock (purchased or unpurchased).

I have purchased Dell refurb monitors, and trust me they were refurbs! They were just thrown in a box just as it had been returned to Dell by some customer that decided they didn't want it. It was just as shiny and perfect just like a new one. But it was $100 cheaper, so for that kind of savings I don't care how they packed it as long as it worked and didn't get damaged in shipping!
