Not a super hot deal, but a pretty good one. I went to Costco and picked up the Lumix DMC-FH20 after spending about a week researching optional compact point & shoot cameras.

The camera is normally $189 at Costco, but it is on coupon right now for $149 which is what prompted me to buy it.

Plus it comes with: 2gb SD card Panasonic carrying case

I have owned several Panasonic cameras and I have always been extremely pleased with their build and photo quality. This is meant to be a replacement for my DMC-TZ5 which was stolen out of my car a month ago. I decided to go for more compact sizing and sacrifice the extra zoom power (and save about $100). I have a DSLR if I want to use a telephoto lens, so this camera is perfect for putting in my pocket when I head to the park with the family.

Here is a review of the DMC-FH20 which gives it pretty good rating. Best Buy has the DMC-FH22 which adds a touch screen and a 3" screen to the mix, but it is also $249 and I hate to imagine how hard it would be to control the camera if the touchscreen got cracked.

its always a hot deal at costco,

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH20 at Amazon

Another option for those of us with no Costco or not a member,

$159.99 via Amazon with no shipping and no tax for "some" of us.

Doesn't include a case or 2 GB memory card.

Also this camera has 8X optical zoom which is very good for a camera this slim.

$152 for the red
$155 for silver

looks like Costco only carries black.

The red and the violet are down to $139.99 at Amazon

Red

Violet

I picked up the red one for my Mom's birthday next month.

Combine with some of the deals on Amazon GC's listed in this thread to save even more.
Amazon GC deals

I used the $10 off $100 GC coupon at eBillme along with buying a $50 GC via the Amazon Visa and 5% back in the form of a credit.

Even if you don't have the Amazon Visa everyone can easily use the eBillme deal providing you have never done any of their promos, rebates, coupons.

My net cost wound up being something less than $129.99 delivered with no tax (for me).

A Panasonic with a Leica lens is the best.

I have a ZS7 so I am aware of the Leica lens. It's also $255.

The FH20 is an entirely different segment.

Even without the Leica lens the DMC-FH20 aquits itself rather well for $139.
