Not Cheap enough to be a refurbished unit. few dollars more on sale gets you a new unit. Not sure about Midnightbox either. Are they as dependable as woot?
My experience with MidnightBox is good. I have made 10 purchases with them w/no issues.
...I don't work for/or know them.

Purchased this unit on eBay for 99.00 refurb. I bought mainly for Nteflix streaming and the WiFi feature. This a great little unit and the WiFi works great on this. I would recommend this for that use and for a simple entry level Bluray.
Let me add this unit new runs around $180.00, and $79.00 its a a great buy forthe features it has!

Got in on this deal a couple months ago and Midnight Box was good and shipped fast. Blu-ray and Netflix works great. Got a squaretrade 2 year warranty for 15 bucks (had 20% coupon at the time). So a wireless bluray with 2 year warranty under $100. Refurb or not that is a great deal.

My experience has been good too. I bought a refurb from CowBoom. Great features for the price. The Netflix and WiFi features work great. For me, the BluRay is an added bonus. Only complaint is that the remote could be better (minor complaint). Assuming MidnightBox is selling quality refurbs, then I think this is a great deal.
I have two of these units as CowBoom refurbs; they work well. However, wireless-N doesn't work on one of the units (wireless-G still works fine). The main complaint about these units is that the remote really sucks. You basically need to be right in front of the unit for the IR to work. However, I bought two of these, and they work much better. Good entry-level player, especially for the price!

Not with wifi built in. These still sell for abour $150 bones. The cheapest we've seen the refurbs are $69.99 + shipping. This is a good deal.
re: The bad remote. I don't think it's the remote, I think it's the IR sensor built into the dvd player but I might be wrong. Once you know the sweet spot, it's not hard to get it to read your button presses, but it takes some practice. Pulling the unit as close to the edge of the shelf as possible helps a lot.

Got mine yesterday. Setup was easy. One of my main reasons for buying this unit was to get a DVD player that could read my burned DVD+R DL disks as my 5yr old Sony player can't handle anything but DVD-Rs. Unfortunately, this player can't play them either. I'll try the Netflix streaming, but it sucks I need yet another player for my burned discs!
EDIT: My bad, it plays my burned DVD+R DL discs just fine! The one I tested with was a bad disc to begin with. This is a pretty neat player. I found the remote decent, too, and it programmed perfectly into my Logitech 880 remote. The Netflix streaming works well and is easy to use, but the selection kind of sucks. Free 1=month trial with this player as well, so I'll try it out.
