16GB MICRO SDHC POLAROID P-SDU16G2-FS/POL
is available @ Frys

These are class 2. I've not seen anything faster than Class 2 at Fry's. Decent card, speedy enough for video on my nexus one but this price has been around for over 6 months now, shame it won't drop. Also - the rebate is quite unreliable, last two I sent to them never appeared and they claimed they never received anything.

Agreed. I've bought the 8Gb Polaroid cards and never got the rebates. They're OK for PC use as flash drives, but don't try to boot an OS from one - not unless you've time to waste.

thanks OP. I think Office Depot has a 16GB Sandisk microSDHC (Class 2) for $32, no rebate necessary.

I've been watching for some Class 6 8GB cards, so I've been seeing the various SDHC cards. Fry's seems to be leaning towards 16GB & 32GB SDHC cards in the higher speeds right now, Fry's actually has Class 4 cards fairly often (SDHC & Micro SDHC). Here's a Patriot 16GB Class 6 SDHC card from Sat:

I was at fry's last week (dallas) and they had class 2, 4 and 6 polaroid cards. The 16gb class 4 was $36 or so last week B&M. At this price I would also guess guess class 2.

Rebate is only $10 for the 8gb card. This is a PNY crappy rebated that must be sent within 14 days including pucrhase date, will not accept rebate receipt etc. PNY rebates are crap.

Is 16gb in OD available on sale this week for $32 ?

I was going to wait for a class 6 16GB Micro SD, but I got such a great deal on a Sandisk 16GB Micro SD (Class 2) that I could not pass it up. I got it from Office Depot for $23.76 out the door.

They have it on their website for about $32, but it's delivery only. They carry the same model in store, but its a different SKU and priced at $99. I asked them to price match their website which they did with no problem, which surprised me since the SKU was different. I will mention that they are the exact same model though (SDSQ-016G-A11M) regardless of the SKU.

Anyways, I used THIS Office Depot to get $10 off my purchase. It may not be super fast, but it should be very reliable being that it's a Sandisk and it was dirt cheap.

Tested it with Crystal Disk Mark on my PC with a card reader and got about 18mb read and 9mb write on the sequential and 512k runs which isn't too bad for a $23 16GB MicroSD

The 4k weren't as great, but still I can work with this card. Below are the benchmark details.

EDIT: I added benchmarks for my 8gb Kingston Class 4 that I use in my TP2. The benchmarks on the 16gb Class 2 actually look better. That is odd.

Anyone have trouble collecting the rebate?

Well, I bought the 16GB SD card during Fry's latest promotion and mailed my rebate ten days ago, and it is not yet in their system. Any idea how long it takes before showing up on the website? I am going to give them three weeks before calling...

One of the fastest rebates I can recall. Mailed on May 27. Check received on June 24.
