I think it's your full zip code, with the four extra digits. i.e. 90210-####
It did the same thing to me, but I noticed the "-" in the empty zip code box on the second try, and it went through fine that time with the extra digits.
I got the shirt and it looks just like the one on the site. Heavy duty and well done. I didn't get a copy of the magazine though. Hopefully I'll get both this time.
EDIT: I ordered an XL shirt and they were in stock. It could be that they are out of Large shirts, so try selecting XL for your size.
