tuan2 said: DO NOT DUPLICATE? What do they emant by that? Isnt PRINTING it a form of duplication? They mean don't duplicate the gasoline. They have a copyright on their gasoline. If they didn't, they would go out of business, because, whenever a customer's tank went down to half full, they could simply duplicate the gasoline to fill it up again.
My local Murphy's share a parking lot with another station. Murphy's just raised their price-per-gallon 10 cents. Even with this coupon Murphy's was empty this morning while the station next to it was full.
I just got confirmation from a second friend that I sent the coupon to that Murphy's has indeed raised their gas prices here in Orlando ... for their own reaons (you can guess why). This is not a $2 coupon here ... it's a $1.50 off coupon if you buy $10 of gas.
Last time in Jan, my Murphy's would not honor the coupon. Could some of you please post your experience. Thanks

Used coupon twice today, once in Austin TX and once in Round Rock TX. Worked like a charm both times plus I got an additional 17 cents discount for sales tax on $2.00.
I tried to use this in Athens, GA and they said they could not use computer generated coupons. He wouldn't even look at it. I was kind of mad and called their headquarters. They are issuing me a $2 check. They said the guy should have taken it and will be advising the district manager about this. I guess you should check with the cashier before going through what I did.
This was the real problem, IMO. Does anyone have a corporate phone # to call when such situations arise? (not my case, my local Murphy did not cause me any problems, but generally speaking)

Thanks OP. Used it last night with no problems. They have raised their prices however.

Worked for me last night, the cashier just typed in the numbers, no questions asked. I am not sure why people mentioned they have raised the prices... The gas station prices changes almost daily here. Murphy is usually a few cents cheaper than the big names (Shell, BP, Speedway), sometimes the same but rarely more.
I tried to pre-pay using the coupon and was told 'cash only'. I haven't carried more than $5 in my wallet in a long time... He said something about a "split payment" being involved. Of course he scrutinized the coupon like it was a counterfeit bill - even asked where the rest of it was.
I didn't try "post-pay" since I don't think they wanted the coupon.
Used it last night without a problem. Coupon was scanned and I paid the balance with a credit card. Wish I had a WalMart gift card - that would have reduced the price 3 cents a gallon. Our local Murphys (at WalMart) had gas at the same price as almost all other stations in town. Only a few other stations have a higher price, but Murphys was the same as the lowest price available.
