Thanks OP. These are great to fulfill purchase requirements for ink recycling.

Anyway to turn Maxperks into cash/GCs? I know they do not do rebates...

Purchase gift cards. According to Terms and Conditions you can purchase any gift card except OM brand with rewards. Regardless of official rules HUGE YMMV due to individual store managers.

Is the rest of the ad available?

anyplace said: Is the rest of the ad available?

yes, if you have a question, please ask. will answer, just no time to scan the whole ad.

Wish Officemax had both INSTORE COUPONS AND FAR DEALS to make money with same time donate this office supply to School. With Staples, you can recycle these deals with Coupons and make $ month b month. INK Recycling is just icing on the cake.-

In the stores They have Signs at the Registers that clearly STATE GC's Can NOT be purchased with GC/Merchandise Credit or Rewards.
In one of the Stores I was in, a Gentleman tried and the REGISTER rejected the transaction. No way to Override.

can you scan page 6 -- I've never done OM rewards -- how do they work? expiration date, etc. Also can anyone else confirm you can buy another store's GC with them?

Also, OM does honor competitor coupons, so can use an OD coupon if you like

I have not shopped in OM in probably 4 years- OM used to be even better than Staples in the early days- probably shows my age.

Looks like they have closed my local store in the meanwhile. So, I have to order online for 50 bucks to avoid shipping and have to find something to buy at a later time- too much hassle for me.

Wish Staples or OD would match the offer...

hellyea,

to be honest, the fine print on page 6 is so darn small I doubt it's worth the effort. you should be getting the ad in your Sunday paper, so you can read it prior to deciding if the deal is good for you or not.

ps: this website should answer your questions

Jeeves,

other than price adjusting to $0.00, don't think there's a way to price match a free item after rewards offer. Staples B&M has no way to generate rewards credit to an account on an offer like this. Plus except for the pens, all the items are OM brands so they could simply say it's not an exact match.

you will have a hard time getting your rewards reflected in your account, OfficeMax is a bitch.

I bought the paper deal a couple weeks ago just so I could return 20 inks...Already shows in my account of $120 earned in maxperks for next month....Sucks since they changed the policy in Jan....At least I made over 20g's last year on ink returns

REALLY need the entire ad scan. PLEASE?

NEVEREVERPAYRETAIL said: REALLY need the entire ad scan. PLEASE?

It will be available tomorrow. Can't buy anything until then anyway.

Well it helps people that have to purchase items to satisfy maxperks recycling purchase requirement before the end of the month. Their sale this week kind of sucks but if it sucks worse tomorrow then today would be better to purchase something before it goes off sale. Stores also close early tomorrow. Make sense?

I have $25+ in OM rewards that I'd love to use. If I use my reward money to buy these free after rewards items, does anyone know how that will affect my new rewards for the items that I will be purchasing tomorrow? Thanks.

from a poster at SD:

Use your past rewards to buy these. Then you will get new rewards from this. It's the Circle of Life - rewards style. I guess we'd term it as a "roll" in the WAGS or CVS threads.

You will get 100% of the amount spent back as rewards. I have my rewards from the self-stick envelopes & sharpies which I will use on these. I bought the envelopes using the rewards I got from the bankers boxes. And so it rolls.... Glad this is coming up now since I have some rewards expiring 3/31.

You do not earn credit towards the $500 rewards level for items bought with rewards though. I think only items paid for with cash/credit (including store credit) count for that type of reward.

Black Sunday!

I'd be careful about using rewards on these. Make sure you read the terms and conditions when the offer is official. I'm pretty sure I've seen some in the past where it specifically said you could not pay with rewards.

MM (or offset tax): $0.50 coupon. Thanks dee16

(source: $0.50 coupon on box of free sample pen)

YMMV(?): Years ago, I had trouble getting CSR to accept Duracell mfg coupon on a clearance battery.

Is this a recent change?
I have not seen this kind of sign in my nearest OM (DFW area) and I bought $100 worth of AMEX GC about a month ago. Cashier didn't know if it worked but she said she will try and it went through fine. I do have more rewards to burn so will try again in next week or so.

You may use your reward card at any OfficeMax retail location, online at www.officemax.com, or by phone at 1-877-OFFICEMAX (1-877-633-4236). You may use up to three (3) reward cards from the same MaxPerks account in a single transaction. Reward cards are not redeemable for OfficeMax brand gift cards and are not redeemable for cash unless otherwise required by law. No amount of your reward card may be applied as payment to any credit account. You can buy any gift card you want as long as it is not an office max gift card.

Yeah...Good luck getting them to abide by that!....The good ole days are gone

I am sure this does not works..if u buy with rewards, you cannot get maxperk rewards and also they are not counted towards recyling

I don't see anywhere in the ad mentioning the limit for each item.

What states require this? If I ever visit there, I want to make sure I bring all my rewards to benefit.

I thought it was Rhode Island where you can convert mail-in rebates to "instant" rebates (and the same with gift cards)...but I might be mistaken..

UniBall Gel Pens 207 are in store only.

I only see the limit 3 on the copy paper in the ad and online, it says limit of 3 on copy paper & legal pads but nothing about the pens, binders, or folders.

the limits in the OP are correct, the scan got chopped off. you're welcome to buy all you like, but you'll only get rewards credit up to the limits.

Wasn't going by the scan .... looking at ad in paper and on the OfficeMax site. Anyway, prolly wouldn't get more than 3 each anyway. Also, I don't see anything that says you won't get the rewards if you pay using previous rewards although some say that won't work (I've got $70 from the paper deal last time to use up too)

My ad says the pens are available in-store only.

Oops, I see FullTimeDad beat me to it.

Re: using rewards for gift cards. YMMV depending on manager, but I do it all the time. Register never makes a peep. When store managers change it can be good or bad, depending on what the old manager did or did not let fly, and what the new manager lets fly. Clearly the wording only disallows OFFICE-MAX giftcards, though out of respect I also don't go for the Visa PrePaid, or any other similar cash cards.

Re: Maxperks rewards. Can anyone tell me if these go on the normal reward that you can download online, or do they do like Sstaples and mail these out seperately? Thanks.

redding you again. the flier in the paper clearly shows the limits for EACH item. look again.

Actually, the flier in YOUR paper might clearly show these limits, but the flier in MY paper doesn't show "limit 3".
I looked at the OP scan and that is when I noticed that Omaha flier & online weekly ad for zip 68132 doesn't show these limits although Page 6 of flier says the limit of 3 on copy paper.
So Guess we're both right and both wrong so give some of that red to yourself too ... LOL

So you can't roll maxperks reward? What if you use a coupon, do you get price paid AC or full amount in reward??

grusty3 said: Used a 15 dollar coupon and didnt receive bonus rewards on anything. Bought several of all 4 items free after bonus rewards. Listed each item less than original price. Took a little off of each item instead of 15 off total on the rewards site, but didnt do it like that on receipt, just a straight 15 off of total.

I bought the rewards items online and also bought something else to bring my total up to $150.00. Then I used a $30 off $150 coupon. When I check my rewards status, I see that they deducted a full $30.00 from my "rewards earned" amount, instead of pro-rating the coupon over everything that I bought. Looks like they are shorting me out of more than $15.00, so I will be contacting them to try to fix it.
