All the new cell phones use micro-USB chargers these days. If you have a bunch of mini-USB chargers from old cell phones, use this cheap converter to charge your new phone.
Cyfun said: What the hey, in for one. Damn new cellphones are all microUSB for some odd reason.
On a slightly different note, does anyone know if the output voltage are the same for all mini-USB or micro-USB? Or is there different charge rates depending on different devices? Is there a limit (perhaps based on the mini-USB or micro-USB specifications)?
Current can vary. An old charger putting out less than 0.5A may not work with a new phone that wants 0.7A or more.
Thanks, I got off my lazy *ss and looked it up USB Power on the wikipedia.

USB spec says a port has a max of 500mA. So all devices should expect no more than that. Though, many motherboards do allow for more current, but according to the spec 500 is the max. This is why when you want to power a portable hard drive through USB alone, they use 2 ports for a 1A max.

If I want more than 2, can I still get this price?

Thanks OP! Was planning to get a micro USB car charger this weekend. You saved me the trip and money.

By the way, picked these up from Meritline a few weeks ago and they work fine on my DROID X.
I think you can use the same account if you clear your browser cookies between orders.

Same here! For some weird reason, the add to cart button isn't working for me. I tried on both Google Chrome and IE8. A way around this is to simply click inside the quantity box and then hit enter. Anyone else experiencing the same problem?

In for 2 more, thanks OP. I bought 2 the last time they had these on sale. They work great, and are perfect for converting higher quality Motorola and Blackberry mini-usb chargers to the micro version needed for my new Samsung phones. I won't trust the cheap generic online chargers anymore after nearly frying a phone, and this is a cheaper way to convert the better quality chargers.

Works fine for me with both Firefox and Google Chrome.

I don't trust the cheap chargers, either. Though most will die on their own before they burn out your phone.

I agree, this is merely an adapter from mini to micro. If the device is able to sync over USB, then this should not hinder it.
I only ask because I know the version of this that does not have the cord in between (just looks like a block) does NOT sync with computer and the one by Motorola with the cable in between does sync. This one looks like the Motorola one so hopefully it does.
