Yonkers NY store ONLY...

no Jim, any store. This was closest to me.

You'd have to prove it's any store. How do we get the coupon closest to ours?

Sorry Jim, I Goofed. Just Checked and it's only for Yonkers.

How do I edit Post?

Green from me - this is the closest MC to me. I usually go the Long Island store when visiting the in-laws.......

Thanks - I'll be stopping by Yonkers on my way home tonight.

The 'edit' button on the bottom right of your post!

I got one yesterday and the final is actually less!
29.99 price
02.51 Westchester County Tax
-10.00 MIR

This is insane - so the title should be "Hitachi Internal Hdd 1TB $19.99 after $10 MIR, Micro Center, Yonkers Store Only, Instant Coupon for $29.99 at checkout"

Holy crap!

yeah of course I just bought a $60 samsung hd with similar specs, and I live 15 minutes from Yonkers. $30 plus tax plus $12 in triboro bridge tolls, plus gas. Lost $15, not so bad, lol.

isn't triboro toll 5.50 each way?

there are no toll roads.

Anyone tried this at another store?

Successful today in Chicago

it's something like that with ez-pass. I guess i could say 1% freedom Cash Back too. I still haven't been to the MC in Yonkers. I went to the one in Paterson last month. Saw 30 kids all handcuffed on the street and 20 cop cars lined up. That was fun. I see why they have half-off tax for Paterson retailers now. Oh, I live 1 block from the triboro, so the 25 minute drive out of the way to save 11-12 bucks really is hard to do. Funny b/c when I lived in BK, I lived 2 blocks from the battery tunnel, but I would usually avoid that and use the bridges.

Holy WTH?

Nice, Elston or Westmont? Did they just scan the coupon or price over ride it? Both stores are about 25 miles from me. MC mails me their flier every 3 weeks or so.

Turned down today in Cambridge

Got 2. Saw someone pick up a couple from MC in yonkers.

Shot down in Tustin, Ca.

@E4300, was going to try it with a partial print of the coupon. How did they respond to your request?

Elston, manager override. SKU on coupon is special, doesn't match the item, so it'll only scan in Yonkers (I assume). Also printed a $10 rebate. Grabbed a new in box Antec 900 case for $79.95 too, good MC day!

I got one at the Dallas Microcenter for $19 after rebate!!

I did the partial print. Gal took it to the fat manager. He said coupon is for the new Yonker store, only. Let me know if you have better luck with another guy/gal.

No dice at Dallas location. They caught on after yesterday, apparently.

No dice in Sunnyvale. Tried to buy it for $30 and they said no. Threw $30 at the cashier and tried to run out with it and got stopped by the security guard. Had to return the drive. They did give me back the $30.

You know, there's a not-so-fine line between smart shopping and shoplifting...

Successful today in Chicago (Elston Store). The manager realizes the coupon only valid in Yonkers store, but she overrided with "honoring yonkers coupon"... The cashier kept the rebate form/reciept, but I still can print it online anyway.

God damn. Why they sell it to you and not me in Sunnyvale? I want to go down there and kick the store.

You could do what I do-59th st bridge to fdr north to willis ave bridge to 87north to exit 3 in westchester. Simple route and you save on tolls and the mileage is only 1 or 2 miles extra - very negligible unless you are driving a gas guzzler which could be possible with all the money youved saved here.

Turned down today in Kansas City. The cashier had a copy with the YONKERS ONLY! part highlighted.

good news! fair price

In for one last night in Westbury (Long Island). Manager seemed a little butthurt, like he had been dealing with the same coupon all day. He wouldn't let my girlfriend purchase one, but let me get away with it. Cashier also gave me the rebate

As an additional note, the sales rep handed me a different Hitachi drive than what was pictured in the ad. Same specs though.

That's what I do.

Any idea when the new willis ave bridge will be completed? The construction is there for years....

No go at the Northern Virginia (Fairfax) store. Cashier tried to scan the coupon which obviously doesn't work and summoned a manager over. He looked at it and said, "it's only for the Yonkers store" and walked away.

Oh well...

You doods are going about this in COMPLETELY the wrong way, whatareyan00bs? You have to go into the store and ASK FOR THE MANAGER FIRST, show him the coupon and tell him relative/friend/acquaintance lives in the Yonkers area and emailed you a link to the coupon, POINT OUT THAT IT'S FOR YONKERS ONLY, but is there any chance they would be kind enough to pricematch? It's also helpful if you are holding (and presumably purchasing) other pricey items at the same time.

As I mentioned earlier in the thread, the SKU on the coupon is unique to the Yonkers store (it won't even come up if you enter it on the website) for the grand opening sale and won't scan anywhere else without a manager's override. The normal SKU for the hard drive is 768887 and it is item 96700-31000-007, Hitachi Deskstar 1TB SATA HD31000 IDK/7K (LINKED HERE), it has to be because the MIR prints out with that item and it's the only 1TB Hitachi drive they carry. If you just stroll up and try to check out with the coupon thinking that you're gonna pull the wool over their eyes you're definitely gonna get shot down, but approached correctly this is a relatively easy deal to get in on.

Got 3 at yonkers yesterday. The offer is now extended till 10/3. They let you buy more than one per person just have to give them one coupon for each drive. This has to be best deal for a 1TB retailed box drive on the planet!!!!!!

i got 2 of these drives last weekend.. Thinking of one more.. but they could technically shoot down the MIR. It says something about not being valid with a coupon..AND it also says the SKU / UPC code must match. It does not with the version @ the Yonkers, NY store. Even so, at 30 dollars w/ coupon it is a very good deal.

I ran the drive thru HDTune Pro and checked for errors as soon as I got and formatted it. Good to go. will be a great drive for my old PS3 and a certain new thing that has happened with it. YAY!

Oh well...
