Backpack has bottom section with separate padded compartments for a SLR camera and several lenses. There is also a top compartment for extra gear and a padded rear compartment for a 15.4" laptop computer.

Thinking of getting this for my father-in-law who is an avid photographer and doesn't have a camera backpack yet, but also already has a monopod.
The monopod in this kit is designed for travel. It is lightweight and folds up to a compact size (I assume small enough to fit in the top section of the backpack). However, it will not be as stable as a heavy duty monopod, if you have a heavy camera or heavy lens. I would not recommend a travel monopod for everyday use unless you have a very lightweight camera.
Phew... pulled the trigger. Planning on returning a couple packs I got for my wife and I from REI that we never use. Should cover this purchase plus a little more

This is a great price for just the backpack itself!
Do inspect the backpack straps when you get it. I ordered mine at Adorama earlier this year and there was fraying on the adjustable straps. The exchange took a while and I almost didn't get it in time for my trip to Asia.

I ordered one earlier and just got an email that this is currently on backorder. They are not canceling the order, but if you are in a hurry you probably want to look elsewhere. I have a different Kata bag that I have been very pleased with. This looks like a good deal if you don't mind waiting for it.

Good replacement offer?
Dang! That's an even better deal - the pack is bigger and is designed for 17" laptops. Ugh, I wish mine was OOS when placing the order. I got in too early! (hah, that's rare for FW)
467 is a bigger bag. Probably a typo in the e-mail.
However, bigger may not be better if the bag is too bulky for you. Because of all the stiff padding for your camera equipment, these packs do handle differently from normal day packs.
