Hopefully they don't switch the ad on the last day like they did this week...

I don't know if they will still give you the $5 off $50. If they do, you will at least break even without buying the coupons online.

For those with stores that accept competitor coupons ...

Office Depot $10 off $50 - expires 9/6/10

Office Depot $10 off $50 - expires 9/9/10

My upcoming ad just shows the PNY flash drive as regular price $17.99, $8 savings, new price $9.99. Don't see the $8.99 gift card anywhere.

Edit: Also doesn't have the photo paper. Looks like it's definitely regional.

Staples rebates are never regional. Even if your ad doesn't say so, you can still file the rebate.

and you know that how ??

Please keep in mind that we have this thread in place to discuss this particular deal. There is no need to discuss how someone found the deal. We need to keep this conversation on topic now.

please advise the SKU for them,

Staples photo supreme 8.5x11 paper, 50/pack (564121) $14.99 - $14.74ER = $0.25 link

HP 8.5x11 multipurpose paper, 500 sheet ream (814186) $7.79 - $1.80IS - $4.99ER = $1.00 link

PNY 2GB USB flash drive (864659) $12.99 - $3IS - $8.99ER (Staples Gift Card) = $1.00 link

Links are for informational purposes only as the rebates are most likely in-store only.

Edit: for typo.

I have done that many times. Rebates from other region's ads print out in-store and surprise the cashier/manager.

Your math here doesn't add up. $12.99 - $3.00 = $9.99. Then $9.99 - 8.00ER (Staples Gift Card) = $1.99. Why do you think the ER is $8.00 instead of $8.99 like the OP says?

Typo.

ER on flash drive is $8.99 as noted in OP.

Two different PNY flash drives.

Some ads have:

PNY 2GB USB flash drive (864659) $12.99 - $3IS - $8.99ER (Staples Gift Card) = $1.00 link

While other ads have:

PNY Attache 4GB flash drive (864658) $9.99 (Save $8, WOW! Reg. price $17.99) link

Links are for informational purposes only.

My add doesn't have the Photopaper or the HP paper reams. bpvh's link for the photopaper is this week's ad.

My ad for next week has all these deals listed. Looks like I gotta get there early Sunday morning to actually get the flash drive this time, store only had 4 on the shelf yesterday...

The links are to the product, not to the ad, and as noted, are for informational purposes only.

Cpn not valid on Tech items, so YMMV.

What did Staples switch on their ad?

Can I use the rewards check from others and get the rebate? Thanks.

but you can still buy the paper items and use the $10 off $30 Office Depot coupon that is out there (expires 9/15/10)

If you really want the flash drive you could just buy that one item separately w/o the Office Depot $10 off $30 coupon.

sorry for being a noob, but can anybody tell me how to obtain a 20/50 Staples coupon?

The coupons state that items receiving instant rebates don't apply to reach the $50. So would this deal really work as both the paper and USB has an instant rebate attached to their deal.

México..

wrong! the rebates are applied for online, they are not instant.

The usb has a $3 instant savings in the deal and the HP Paper has $1.80 instant savings in the deal (on top of the easy rebates). My question is will the price after the instant savings be applicable to the coupon $50 total, or will the price of the entire item not count. The price after instant savings still totals over $50 if you include the part left over after the instant savings is taken off.

Is the guy legit?
I paid for the coupon, but never got it, and no reply either.

site says to allow up to 12 hours. has it been that long?

stop worrying, if your total is over $50 it's fine...and it is!

Has anyone done this deal even though their weekly paper did not list the usb drive, paper . . .

The price after the instant savings counts towards the $50

Just did this deal at my local Staples (MA), everything worked as expected.

Do your local ads show all these items on sale? Thanks.

qnju said: Do your local ads show all these items on sale? Thanks.

yes, the local ad does mention all the items listed in the OP on sale.

the fake $20 off $50 in-store coupon from SDer that still scanned okay this morning in my Staples was showing on my receipt as "$20 off any C & P order of $20 or more with online submission, expiry date 12/31/2010". Lucky me, store cashier didn't catch that.

The paper, photo paper, and flash drive deals appear to be nationwide. The other 9-cent and 25-cent deals in some circulars this week are regional.

No, the photo paper and 2GB flash drive are not nationwide.

Hey it doesn't matter. Even if they are regional just show them the ad from other region, they are supposed to price match unless its clearance. Here is a link to their PM policy and the relevant quote:

"What if I find a lower price at Staples?
If you find a lower price in one of our stores, catalogs or on Staples.com®, we’ll gladly match the lower price. If an item is marked “clearance,” the clearance price is only valid for an in–stock product that is marked at that clearance price."

Just submitted SER's for these. I hadn't realized that the photo paper SER would come as a Visa gift card w/ Staaples logo on it. Happily there's the option for getting a check instead of GC since one can no longer convert Staaples rebate GC's to check by calling MetaBank. Kinda tricky how the Staaples Visa GC looks a lot like a Staaples GC so one might think that one had to use it at Staaples.
