New Netopia 3347-02-1006L ADSL2 Wireless Router Modem 4 Port Switch For Residential Or Business.

http://www.dailysteals.com/

The part # indicates it, but to make it clear for the less technically inclined, it's a wireless DSL modem/router.

Great modem. I paid the same ($14.98) @ Bedeals two weeks ago. Unit is new in white box. Comes with AC adaptor and cables. Vastly superior to the cheap free 2Wire from AT&T. AT&T provides this modem for their business customers. Has port forwarding and many other tweaks. List is $100.

In for one, can always use a spare.

in for one! use coupon code: MA9715DS for another dollar off bringing the total to $13.98 shipped!

Thanks OP. Been looking to replace a netgear router/modem for awhile now. Perfect Timing.

Yes, perfect timing. I just bought a wireless router a few days ago to replace an aging one. I haven't opened the box yet so I can still return it. Now I can replace both the router and the modem.

Thanks, Butcherboy, and thanks KingKhan for the extra dollar off.

not gigabit?

And no HDMI...

Why buy this when you can get a Verizon for $5 less?
Verizon

Great timing! Thanks!

In for one (1)!

Verizon

This one is a dsl modem/wireless router. The Verizon one is only wireless router.

What kind of Power Adapter it comes with, 110-230 ? Good for India ?

Verizon is a router with Wi-Fi. Does not include a DSL modem. Range is subpar vs. the Netopia. It's very easy to take apart and service the Netopia...like recapping after 5-6 years of service.

AC adaptor is for US 120V with 12VDC out at 0.75A (class IV efficiency).

Hmmmm...

I used the coupon code and it showed up during checkout, but my order confirmation dropped it off and I was charged the full $14.98. Oh well....

Compatible with Qwest
DSL?

Note to n00bs. Register for an account first. Then log in, then apply the discount code. I tried to take a shortcut and they charged me without letting me enter the code. Just sent them an e-mail to adjust my invoice or cancel the order. I don't like the way they have it set up. It told me before I could enter a coupon code i had to register first.

Had to save a buck, so I ordered two more modems. There is no reason why this modem shouldn't work with Quest or Verizon since the latest shipped firmware 761r9 is ultra tweakable. For AT&T customer, verify that system is set to PPPoE. Enter the user name and password. The default gateway for the modem is 192.168.1.254. You can enter user name and password directly if you select the QUICK START option. WiFi can be turned-off if desired.

Will this router work with Cablevision Cable Modem? Is this N type?

I currently have Verizon DSL service with a regular Westell DSL modem, can I use this Netopia DSL/WiFi combo modem to replace my existing DSL modem???

Wow..Great deal! I should buy a bunch to resell on eBay/craigslist.

In short: No it will not work with cable internet

This should not work with any cable company since they use Coax cable to go into the Modem in which this one has a phone jack instead of a coax connector. I got Time Warner Cable and I am positive this will not work my cable internet.

S/he asked if it would work with their cable modem, not as a replacement for the modem.

Correct. I do have the Cable modem. Question is: Will this work with a Cable internet service with a Cable modem?

Why would you bother? The point would be to have them combined as one unit. You'd be better off buying the Verizon router deal and saving a few bucks.

However, will this work as a replacement DSL modem for Verizon? Can anyone confirm that?

As long as your existing dsl modem supports either PPPOA and PPPOE, it should work as a replacement dsl modem for verizon.

DSL only. No cable modem and no "N" support.

Nice "steal" OP! Thanks! In for one.

Got the same thing. Used a CC.

How does this compare on the DSL side with the standard Motorola 2210 cheapy that AT&T ships out to residential customers? I'm on the DSL Pro plan (3.0M down / 512k up) and am getting the advertised rates. I'd have to replace the Linksys router running DD-WRT which I like alot, though admittedly I haven't used many of the advanced features in recent times.

bah, I applied that dollar off coupon but it didn't deduct from my total payment via paypal.

sg94ahpw said: Will this router work with Cablevision Cable Modem? Is this N type?NO, because the input (WAN) side of this DSL modem/router connects to the phone line. You need a standard wireless router where the input (WAN) side connects to a network connection, such as the output of the cable modem.

Yup. All are based on the ADSL protocol. The Netopia has an AUTO ATM option that automatically detects ATM circuit. Flash to the latest firmware, reset modem, reboot PC, and you should be good to go. Worst case, you may need to manually set the VPI/VCI manually. Contact Verizon for the correct values. Be sure to disable the WiFi if you only want to connect via wire.

Just go into the Westell DSL menu and copy the values if you're too lazy to call.

Has anyone successfully applied the coupon code MA9715DS without the price reverting back to $14.98 upon confirmation of purchase?
If so, how please?

Works for me about 5 hours ago. Sign up. Log in and enter item to cart. Add coupon code. Note that code is good for one-time use only.

That's what it did to my order also.

The general rule of thumb for buying online is, don't buy from a seller that does not list phone number or physical address on their website. Dailysteal don't even list their email address! What are they trying to hide? Has this caught any other FWer's attention?

I think these guys may be related to Bedeals (both from Brooklyn, NY). Support was great at Bedeals. I use a CC, so not too big of a deal if item does not ship.

Skipping 20 Messages...

Ended up getting two of these...one was shipped by accident and I wasn't charged for it. Funny thing is that they contacted me about a week later from one of my two email inquiries, saying that one was lost in transit and did I want a refund or them to send another. At this point, how many free ones do they want to send me!

Anyway, both are clearly used, one with Netopia label on bottom and the other with Motorola label, but both had Netopia brand label on the top. Software was reset. I updated the firmware immediately and set them up for my AT&T DSL here in SF Bay Area. No problem, wireless signal strength is GREAT compared to my junk 2Wire modem/router/wireless, and throughput transferring files and things between computers is excellent as well. I'm hoping that all of the hardware is solid, and so long as there aren't any failures that way I'm very happy. What I'm clearly unhappy about is these being advertised as new, when they are definitely not. I highly doubt I will ever do business with DailySteals again.
