In 4 one. Thanks OP. Had to replace a router just last week and AT&T told me that the problem I was having was the modem which is 5 generations old. They had to look in their archives to pull up specs to my modem. It'll be good to have one sitting around just in case my modem craps out.
I got mine today also and it's also a REFURBED unit and NOT new as advertised. I also got the following e-mail from them:
"Dear Valued Customer. It has come to our attention that several orders have been processed incorrectly. Upon receipt of your item, please double check that the item you received is what was ordered. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We do our best to avoid mistakes. We are, however, human and mistakes do happen. We do always guarantee we will proactively correct any and all issues. Please respond to this email if you feel you may have received the wrong item. Thanks."

Seems to work fine and (as a back up modem) at the price it's ok.
You can choose to have a 50% refund can be issued to you, or to exchange the refurbished unit for a new one. If you choose the latter, this form should be submitted ASAP, whereupon you will be issued an RMA number. Please follow the instructions as to where to return it. Once your item is received, a new modem will be shipped out.
Another two refurb units. Here's my response to the canned email:
I would like to exchange these refurbished modems for new ones. However, I should not be responsible for any return shipping fee, or additional shipping fee for the new modems since the error was on the part of Bedeals.
A win-win solution is for Bedeals to ship me the new modems ASAP by charging me $30 (cost of the original order), then refund my $30 when you receive these refurbished modems. Please provide a pre-paid return shipping label so that I can return these refurbished modems to Bedeals.
Additionally, the RMA form can only support the return of one phone, not modem. I bought two modems. Please provide detailed instructions for the return of two modems.
This company is a fly by night piece of crap. I got an RMA from them, but no return label. They expect you to pick up the return shipping for their mistake. I for one will never deal with them again.
A phone call to them was met with a message stating that the person could not be reached. I suppose I can return the product and file a complaint with my credit card company.
I feel obligated state that it appears that Bedeals is trying to make right. They sent me a RMA number this morning and then this afternoon quite unexpectedly they send a UPS return label. I am happy to give props to a company when they try to make right a wrong.

The only way we will be able to process your order now is by phone.
We will send you a prepaid label as soon as we issue you an rma number.
By imei please fill in N/A and by model please fill in product.
Thanks.
So I'll submit the RMA, wait for the return label, then order the new modems by phone. I think they are trying to work with us to resolve the problem. Will repost when I get more info.
Regarding AT&T... as I understand it, the version that works with the AT&T DSL service is the -06 model. The hardware is the same for both, but some lower-level internal setting has a special value to work on the AT&T system. Some google-searching might help, or if you have a working -06, you can just check and compare the settings.

There was a link via email that they sent me. It takes you to an RMA form. I filled it out and a couple of days later (weekend) I got an RMA, but at first no return label. It was about 5 or 6 hours after receiving the RMA that I got a separate email with an UPS return shipping label.

Arrived in a regular box with no packing material and no branded packaging just clunking around. Hope it works when I get a chance to test it out.
OK...so I ordered two NEW modems today by contacting this vendor and placing an order on an existing Bluetooth Headset promo item. The difference was refunded to my CC. Also received a new receipt for the new modems.
An RMA ticket and UPS pre-paid shipping label showed up in my mail box about 1/2 day after the completion of the RMA form. There's an option for UPS pickup.
Some users got a new modem. Therefore, I'll buy the "honest mistake" claim. Support resolution is first class. I feel that Bedeals really try hard to work with me to achieve a win-win solution. Definitely better than my previous experiences with Amazon. Green for OP and Bedeals!

i also got refurbs ... plastic wrap on the modems with a att sticker that says refurb... however there is protective clear tape on the lights....
what's to say they wont remove the plastic wrap and ship me back the same units and call it new? there's no way of telling..

Well mine was plastic wrap, no protective clear tape on the lights and no refurb sticker. Did the firmware upgrade, set VPI/VCI to 0/35 and everything works fine. Good deal for $15.
It has an automatic update feature - no need to do it manually unless you want to. Right you are but in my case the Netopia did not work "out of the box", I had to change some settings first and wanted the latest update before doing that.
josh555 said: E4300 said: Final update. Received two new Netopia 3347-02-1006L modems in white box (power adaptor and cables) on Friday. Both came with FW 761r9. No issue at all with the AT&T DSL network up to 6M. I'm going to contact Bedeals to purchase the other two refurbished units at 1/2 price. Will definitely buy from Bedeals in the future! Was it in separate packages or one? My three refurbished ones came in one package. I sent them all back. So far, I got back one new one. I'm waiting for the other two new ones. I thought Bedeals would send all three in one package. If the other two don't arrive soon, I'll have to file with the credit card company. Got the remaining two new ones from Bedeals.
