it was working before 3 and then it went down. I have having trouble getting any studio laptop to stay in cart. Hopefully this deal is just sleeping and is not dead.
How can I use the url and still get FC? If I'm logged on at FW, use a Dell link, and then paste the url in that browser's session, due I get the FC?
Can you provide navigation trail for the config? I worked via several links yesterday and never found that config's pricing. Hate how the same system found one way vs another is priced differently.
one way to do is to add it to cart and save the cart and then go through FW link. It is difficult to get this exact deal. You can try this page with different option http://advisors.dell.com/AdvisorWeb/Advisor.aspx?advisor=e7b68177-a094-4d88-b6e1-523f193b11db-009477&c=us&l=en&cs=19&s=dhs&~ck=mn&redirect=1

Thanks a lot. Pulled the trigger. The Mini 10 for 199 extra seems nice too but didn't get it.
Thanks for the post. It saved me some money. I didn't care for the 6 cell battery, but it wasn't worth spending a couple of hundred more to use one of the configs I built yesterday.
Did you find the $90 off here at FW? I had only found a $50 off one.
I got in on it Thanks FW. I used my discover card too for another 5% off. Total $654! Awesome finally going to replace my 9 year old Pentium 4 with 512 RAM lol
Hey BigTen333, Care to give us a review. I have heard some complain about high heat on the studio 15, any thoughts before I buy this?

How did you get the extra %5 with discover card? Did you go through Discover website? Were you able to see the %5 coming off your total somewhere or are you just assuming you will get it back, because I've heard that sometimes you won't get the Cash Back if you use a coupon code at the merchant.

how this one compares to the Asus bamboo 14 inch laptop? Just saw Amazon Asus U43JC-X1
selling this for $999 with $150 Amazon gift card...
Spec.. * Intel Core-i5-450M Processor 2.4GHz with Turbo Boost Technology up to 2.66GHz * Nvidia G310M Graphics Engine with 1 GB DDR3 Dedicated VRAM and Optimus Technology * 4 GB of DDR3 1066MHz DRAM (2 GB x 2 slots), 4 GB Max; Intel Wireless 802.11 b/g/n + WiDi * 500 GB Hard Drive (5400 RPM); Super Multi Optical Disk Drive; Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit) Operating System * 14-Inch HD (1366x768) LED Display; HDMI Port; USB 3.0 port; 8 cell 5600mAh battery (up to 10hrs battery life)
10 hours battery... and the nvidia Optimus G310M (not sure how this compares to the ATI card here though.
so price-wise it's $689+tax=~$755 compare to $999-$150 gift card = $850, but with a cool looking laptop and 10 hours battery...
The video card on the Dell is superior. Also the Dell comes with 6gb and is expandable to 8, whereas this is only 4gb max. You're just basically paying for the looks...

How's this model compare with Dell's business Vostro? Vostro's build seems to be better.

Throw in a blu ray and I'll be all over this like a hobo on a ham sandwich.
Is the 1080P LED screen upgrade 1600x900 resolution? Was thinking about the HP Envy 14, but they keep jacking up the prices on upgrading to the 1600x900 screen. It was once included, then a $200 upgrade (but net $100 b/c they lowered the base price $100), now a $300 upgrade.

AS I understand it, 1080p has to be at least 1920x1080 to carry the 1080p name.

I built the system and saved it in my cart for future use. Then I swapped over the Discover's site and went through the merchant center to the Dell page and linked up. Logged into my account and went to my saved cart and the laptop was still in there at $689.99 I went through the process of buying it and placed the order. I called discover to ask them if I will get the discount and they told me yes as long as I submitted the order through their linked site it will work.
It Didn't work for me. I get this message every time I try . Can anyone help me? "Coupon Error The coupon you have entered has been saved for this shopping session but NOT applied to your cart because the items in your cart do not meet the coupon criteria or other discounts are already in effect with which the coupon cannot be combined. Please review the coupon details for more information. "
Thanks OP. I picked up a nice one for work. Upgraded it quite a bit but this deal pushed my approval from my boss through! I cant wait to start working with it!! Should speed things up nicely!! I upgraded to the Intel Core i7-720QM Quad Core Mobile CPU. I couldnt get the $90 coupon to work but that's cool. Still a great deal!

I received the same "Coupon Error" as Satya1227. I called Dell and had customer rep help me for about 10 mins. Due to my time constraints, I told rep I will have to call back.

Appears dead.
Bought one last week and love it, and just tried to buy another. No luck.
