Excellent deal! Was looking at this last week and was hoping for a coupon, etc. This camera gets excellent reviews from a variety of websites, and if you hit up vimeo or YouTube, you can see samples of the video quality with a review of the camera as well. Big thanks OP!
Is everyone getting hit for taxes, or am I just lucky since there's probably a SonyStyle store in my state?
Been wanting something better than the 3x zoom on my Canon but still unsure about going all the way to dSLR. This is a great intermediate step, I think!
I have the HX1.. which is like the big bro of this camera (it has 9.1 MP, 20x Optical, Intelligent Auto, Smile Shutter™, Face Detection, Optical SteadyShot™ image stabilization, 720p video + 1080P video, semi-manual focus, stereo microphone, etc). The photos are amazing. The video is amazing. I took 720p videos over the weekend, and they came out awesome.
Be sure to grab a big (4GB/8GB) memory card if you get this camera. The high quality videos take up space.

Better deal would be the Fuji S2700 12.2 megapixel, 18x optical zoom, 3.0" LCD for $199. This is not a refurb.
That one runs off of FOUR alkaline batteries?!?!?! Sorry, I'm not downgrading from my long flash recovery on my Cybershot H-2, which runs off of 2 alkalines. Never mind the weight of said batteries! For that kind of weight, why not go DSLR?
I'm a happy owner of an H-2 and and H-10 that I scored for a similar price on clearance over the years at Target and OfficeMax respectively. The girlfriend probably wouldn't approve of another similar camera. Especially not if I insisted on keeping the ones I currently own.
Sorry, have to disagree from my personal experience. When I began researching for my next cam, I bought that very fuji because my old cam was a fuji s7000 and it has served me very well over the years...literally 20k+ pictures and videos! I was utterly disappointed with the 2700...poor image quality and the hd video quality was even worse. I returned it and continued to research. Finally decided this cam was for me after weeks of reading reviews, watching videos others have posted and talking with others who actually own one. At the original price it was a steal, but for 169, it was a no brainer. It just got delivered this morning and I'll be trying it out this afternoon and I'll post some pics and video for others to see.

Just finished unboxing the cam...looks new. Comes with all accessories, software and manual. Camera body has a refurb sticker on it (removes easy). Took some quick shots and vids...excellent image quality, which I was expecting. Picked up an 8gb memory stick pro duo (sandisk) at my local wal mart for $31. Excellent buy...thanks again op!
Dead? Did I miss something or am I still able to get the page with a simple OOS message for some other mystical reason than the resurrection of the page, if not the deal? I, for one, will definitely be checking back on the site to see if they put any more of these up for sale.
