I have found many different sites that sell a ventrilo server, but I do not know what is best to buy. Is there any deals you can get or basically they are all the same? After the fact what is the best ventrilo hosting package you can get for a smaller business?
depends on what you want it for and how many users you want on at any given time. I play Guild Wars and the guild I am in uses HurricaneHost. We have a generous guild leader that ponies up $26 a month for 100 users. Other people that I know from WoW use typefrag. From what my friend that uses hurricane says, they have a pretty easy setup and not much downtime for maintainence on their servers.
Aside from price point and server location/number of server locations, they're all going to be pretty similar. My guild uses ugt-servers.com and have had no problems with it over the past few years.
